The
GEO Holiday party and gift exchange is a pizza party/potluck that takes
place the week before Winter Break. At the previous meeting, those who
wished to participate in the gift exchange drew a name out of a box.They then became this person’s "Secret Santa" and were to purchase a gift and place it under the GEO Holiday tree before or during the party. On the day of the party, participating members bring food and soda to share with everyone. After everyone ha
s filled up on pizza, junk food, and soda, the GEO officers
play Santa and his elves to hand out gifts under the tree.Some of the Secret Santas choose to reveal themselves by writing their names on the gift tags, but others choose to remain a mystery. After "Santa" and his elves hand out all the gifts, the party slowly comes to a close. Everyone departs with a smile on his/her face and a little bit of the Christmas spirit.
