Welcome
to the GEO website! Thanks for visiting
us I first became involved with GEO last year. Events such as desert hikes, old movie theater experiences, and authentic cuisine swept me off my feet. By stroke of divine intervention, I was lucky enough to experience Japan myself! I maintain my ties to this country; I still email my friends and family in Kofu today =) This is my second year living out the GEO experience and I hope to spread the wealth around to more people on campus. Besides GEO, I’m supportive of other activities on campus. You can find me at choir performances, the Leo’s fashion show, plays put on by the drama department, and most any other organization’s events; I’m an enthusiast for that kinda stuff. I’m also what you might call a band geek; I'm into marching, field shows, wind ensemble – the whole nine yards. I was also involved in tennis and hope to pick up the racket again next year. Why should YOU join GEO? Well, if you haven’t already, you’ve come to the right place! GEO is the only club on campus that provides the opportunity to explore a variety of cultures and to try something you’ve never done before. How many people in West Covina can say they’ve swam at the base of a waterfall or seen a belly dancer perform? You only have so many weekends to get out of the house and see the world before you get shipped off to college and the whole “real world.” Don’t worry a thing about setting anything up. We’ll take care of the reservations, transportation and additional headaches, just come and provide us the pleasure of your company. Convinced yet? Drop by our headquarters, M-1, and look for the tall, loud, white-skinned Hispanic girl with the obese backpack and chunky-cheeked smile. I’ll see you there! GEO. Your World Delivered. __________________________________________________
