Hello everyone who has taken the time to read this! Welcome to a new year! Hopefully most of you who are reading this are already GEO members (Thanks For Joining), but if not…what are you waiting for? I will be your 2002-2003 GEO Vice President. Since I am not allowed to give out my name you can call me…Sy (Cac, SyWhat, etc) . I am looking forward to seeing many of you become active members. I am also looking forward to getting to know you. The other three officers and myself have been working hard to make this year one of the best. Everyone should be looking forward to new hikes and new events. Well that’s enough of that…lets get to the more interesting subject…ME! (J/K…I’m not conceited…well not that much) I like nice long walks on the beach and moonlight dinners (oops hold on, wrong profile.) Well I am a 15 year old Junior and no I'm not so smart that I skipped a grade my birthday is in October. ( I would like a gift from you GEO members). I am usually a very happy person. I am a very talkative person…so sometimes if I’m ever going on and on and on…just tell me something (not too harsh!) I am also a music freak. I use to play the flute for my middle school but now I just play for fun. Many people say that Pop is my favorite music but I like all kind of music. But I love it all. Oldies…to Rock…To Pop…To Hip Hop. I would listen to music all day if I could. I like to watch movies to. Besides the fact of me being very happy, talkative, and sometimes hyper…I do have a somewhat serious side. I like to call this part of me…my smart side. And yes I am pretty smart. Actually as I think back, that’s how I got into this…Mr. Beeken Honors World Culture oh yea and the Sun Goddess, Yes the Sun Goddess she dragged me into this. J/K ~~~ I love GEO and everything that is part of the club. In addition to being your GEO Vice President, as if that does not keep me busy, I am also the 2002-2003 Class Of 2004 Vice President; which means I’m usually at school. But if I’m not in the ASB room or in the infamous S-2, I am likely at home doing homework. (Yes…my dull, uninteresting life) When I do get the time off from all these activities I am usually reading poetry or my book of quotes. I use to cheered for 7 years before high school…so sometimes you may see me standing up in the crowd at a football game or a rally cheering…try not to look at my strangely. Besides that I really love music. I can sit somewhere for hours just listening to different types of music. Other times I’ll turn to AMC Classics and watch some old black and white movies! (I love the short silent ones) This is basically how I spend my time…when I’m not out on a GEO event or doing work.
I
haven't been in GEO for a long time so some of these events will be my
first time experiencing them too. One of the things that I am
looking forward to participating in is that Japanese Exchange Program.
I have heard nothing but good things from people. (Mainly the GEO
President) If you are into different cultures and trying new things
this is for you. I am also looking forward to new hikes that
haven't been done in a while. Everyone who joins GEO should be
expecting many things that you would have never done before.
Some examples of that are: eating food that you normally don't or going
hiking for the first time. That is what GEO is all about. I
hope that many people become active members and participate in events to
expand their cultural knowledge. As our logo says ~~~ GEO it's
everywhere you want to be, so get out and see the world! |
