First off, I think you should know a little bit about me. I am 14 years old, and to High School categorization, I am a Sophomore. But do not be fooled over my youth, for I mean business! I have two AP classes, and I am currently learning Spanish (but be warned, I have a horrible white accent). I am about 5'6'', I crave Nirvana (no, not Enlightenment, but the band), and adore eating Macaroni N' Cheese. I love basketball, reading, writing (especially poetry), Clint Eastwood films, and my pet hamster Penelope. There is nothing that makes me happier than breaking out into song during the randomest moments, especially singing those ol' Backstreet Boys tunes. What's better than having a friend whose supremely abstract!? (Well, a talking dog of course...) Being a freshman in a such a large world of uncertainty and routine, I found a family called the Global Exchange Organization, a family that brought me out of the mundane life of a 9th Grader.. I joined hoping for adventure and unity, and that is exactly what I got! The beautiful hikes, the diverse restuarants, and the ability to leave my stress behind and enjoy great places with such amazing friends was beyond what I dreamed of whatever I could find at West Covina High School. It was the Getty Center trip that put the cherry on top (they have Vincent van Gogh's Irises! You can't get any better than Vincent van Gogh!) And ever since I turned in that life-changing membership form, I have fell in love with GEO, its members, and the experiences that will never be forgotten in my heart. West Covina High School is a great mixing pot full of diverse, unique people. Yet, when life seems rough, people need a home away from home, for we spend tons of time here. With GEO, there is surely the spirit of family and unity among our members, and wherever we go, with all the fun and exciting expedictions throughout the California sun, we experience the wonder of varying cultures and places. Join now! The World's just a permission slip away! So whenever your in M-1 just look for me, the pale white male holding that poetry book. And remember, GEO: Share Moments, Share Adventure |
