2007-2008

Hey everybody! Welcome to GEO! I am your 2007-2008 Treasurer! For those of you who don’t know, I will be handling all of our clubs money, and don’t worry; your money is in good hands! This is my first year in GEO being both a member and an officer. Being this my first year in GEO and an officer is tough, but it’s also so interesting! I’m able to experience things firsthand, and that adds to my excitement and desire to be a part of this club. I am also able to meet more new interesting people and bond with them in places that you wouldn’t normally consider well, normal! If you are interested in finding out about the world, then GEO is the right club for you! We have dining experiences, monthly hikes, film potlucks, you name it, and we got it! Being a member in this club makes you feel like family; you have around 80 other kids with the same interests as you, doesn’t that sound incredible?!

So enough about that, more about me. I am a junior here at West Covina High and I’m a proud bulldog! I am very friendly, and I enjoy meeting new people. At times, I do get loud and very rarely will you see my hyper-ness come out! I am 16 years old and a Sagittarius. I don’t have any honors or AP classes, so I have a lot of time on my hands for socializing! Hm, my favorite color is brown, I am about 5’5”, and I love 80’s punk music! My prized possession would have to be my viola, I have been playing since the 4th grade but I stopped before high school. It takes a while for me to open up, but I still talk a lot. I absolutely hate being indoors; isn’t it so boring!?! Outdoors is where all the fun is! My goal in life is to get more kids interested in school. Many kids see school only as a social place, and don’t even pay attention to the learning. Com ‘on man, whatever happened to school is cool?! Don’t be “too cool for school”.

Back to GEO! I definitely recommend joining if you enjoy out of the ordinary cultural experiences. Being in GEO and knowing the people affiliated in GEO are definitely life changing; if you don’t believe me, join and check it out for yourself! It really doesn’t take long for all those cultures to sink in; the first few dining adventures and potluck films should do it for ya. So enough of me talking about it, just join GEO! It only takes being a member to change your life. Remember our motto: GEO. YOUR WORLD. DELIVERED.
