2005-2006

KONNECHIWA and welcome to GEO, the best club WCHS has to offer. I am your 2005-2006 GEO President and thanks for checking us out online. We're finally back and can't wait to encourage you all to "GET OUT AND SEE THE WORLD" with our incredible hikes, exciting restaurant trips, film potlucks, and the Japanese Exchange Program. Even though it takes TONS of nonstop behind the scenes work, GEO rocks--- I love it and am sure glad to see such awesome club back, especially when it impacts peoples lives with all of it's "whole grain goodness in every event!"

It all started for me during my freshmen year when Gina Fischer lured me over to one of the best hikes, the Joshua Tree Adventure; after sharing with great people such an amazing experience that challenges your body, mind, and spirit, I was completely turned on to new things out there that made life so enriching. Be it eating a buffalo burger or trailing through mud hills in the desert, GEO gives you the opportunity to do things you never thought you would end up liking.

By now you know I like to live the "banquet." All things that involve the great outdoors are my type of things. I love to watch movies, listen to music, eat new things, dance, act, hike, travel, sing-- basically living life to its fullest. That's what its all about and what I do at our cool school. I encourage YOU to get involved. I am currently part of our Theatrics Department and acting is one of the things I enjoy the most. I love to eat and I am addicted to cream soda. Yum. I think we should go together to Japan this summer and have a fun time.

Going back to true beginnings, the Japanese Exchange was the reason GEO started all the way back in 89' (yea don't worry, I was only 1) and it's happening this time for it's 16th year with Yamanashi Gakuin High School, our sister school in Kofu, Japan. We'll sure "book a flight right overseas" if your "craving Japanese." After all, it's one of the best exchange programs not only here in California, but in the United States, which makes it one of the best exchange programs in the world. So don't miss out on this great opportunity to not only host a Japanese student in March, but travel to Japan in July!

This year, along with the officers, we have jam packed most of the year with events for you to try out and enjoy. We challenge you to come along and try new things, meet new people, to get out and have a great time. So don't miss out, because you'll find 1000 grams of FUN and "whole grain goodness in every event!"
