2002-2003

Konnechiwa!  Me llamo....well I can't tell you that just yet!  However, I can tell you that I am the 2002-2003 GEO President!  Though it is A LOT of stress, especially following in the Shaq sized shoe prints the Sun Goddess left for me to follow in.  Nevertheless, I LOVE GEO and would do almost anything for the sake of GEO.  See having no shame can come in handy!

Now a background on myself...I love trying new things and I love people of all cultures.  I wasn't always like that though,  a certain Mistah Beeben and GEO helped open my immature, inexperienced, ignorant mind.  Hey GEO even sent me to Japan to live for three weeks over the summer!  Can you imagine living with a family you do not know, in a land you've never been to, and dealing with a huge language barrier?!?!  Sounds insane, but it was the most awesome experience in my life.  I know that this sounds like a cliche, but that trip changed my life!  Besides getting out and seeing the world and trying new things with GEO, I am the ASB Vice President, I played soccer and competed in track for school, I'm a member of the International Thespian Society, and am enrolled in the advanced acting class at WCHS.  I do not get much sleep, but I love everything that I participate in!
In my spare time I love. limited as it is, I enjoy eating, especially exotic food.  Thai and Japanese food have become favorites of mine.  Let's see, I also love improving and acting in comedic scenes.  Laughter is the best remedy for any ailment.  I love cracking jokes!  I'm a natural ham and highly social.  I also think that political satire is a beautiful art.  I can watch endless amounts of Saturday Night Live.

I also enjoy going to new places.  I'm game for anything that involves water.  I have a natural fascination with water, I love the feel, touch, sound, and of course the taste of it.  GEO events that include waterfalls, streams, or the beach are favorites of mine.  As a matter of fact, the last GEO adventure allowed me to frolic in a freezing waterfall.

So back to GEO.  The other officers and I are always trying to bring new blood into the club, as well as trying to get different groups of people to mix with each other and try new things.  We're all about promoting tolerance and experiencing something you wouldn't normally do.  Examples: going on a desert hike, eating Thai or Mongolian food, watching a black & white film, eating Japanese food with chopsticks while sitting on tatami mats, going to museums, or to see a live play.  GEO actively attends such events, and much more!

More than all of those exciting activities, GEO takes extreme pride in it's Global Exchange Organization (hence the name GEO).  Each Spring a group of Japanese exchange students arrive from Yamanashi Gakuin High School in Japan to live with American hosts, typically GEO members, for 1-2 weeks, and in the summer we send a group of American students to Japan to live for 3 weeks.  It truly is the best exchange program in So Cal.  I strongly recommend hosting a Japanese exchange student, it's an amazing experience for you and you family!
So anyway, I bet I know what you're thinking, you are thinking, "Hey she never mentioned her name" and the only way you are going to find out is if you go to S-2, the GEO headquarters and ask about joining GEO, I might just tell you then!  In the mean time, you all should GET OUT AND SEE THE WORLD, with GEO because, GEO IT'S EVERYWHERE YOU WANT TO BE!
