| President 2001-2002 |

Hi everyone who’s taking the time to read this! It’s great to know my efforts aren’t in vain. Yes, I’m the president of the WCHS GEO Club for 2001-2002. You can call me the Sun Goddess and if you know me, you know why. There are reasons, some I refuse to tell, but I like to think I’m the sunshine in lots of people’s lives. It actually all started when I was a sophomore and I played Amaterasu, the Shinto Sun Goddess for a presentation in my “favorite class”.
Generally speaking, I’m a really active individual on campus. If I’m not doing GEO stuff, then I’m doing other club stuff, or I’m busy learning my lines for drama, and if that’s not the case, then I’m caught up in some Mark Twain novel, so long as I’m not practicing on the swim team. Hey, it’s the only sport you can do lying down. Besides that, I had an infinite number of hobbies, japanime being one of them. It’s an expensive hobby, I know. Otherwise, I love movies—the classic and contemporary—so long as the plot’s good, the players are decent, and the cinematography’s nice. None of that Blair Witch and Titanic stuff, but I’ll go for the Roman Holiday, Rebecca, and the O’ Brother Where Art Thou stuff any day. Yes, I live in my own world of Judy Garlands, Fred Astaires, and Audrey Hepburns. Moreover, I like to get out and go to places. Restaurants, fairs, museums, tours, theme parks and the pristine outdoors, are totally my thing. I have a passion for waterfalls and the beach as well as socializing. However, I can usually (more like “always”) be found in S-2. Sometimes, the time just disappears in there and before I realize it, it’s past 6pm! So, have I succeeded in making myself sound like some egotistic geek? Aren’t you sick of me yet? (and there’s my bit of sarcasm…and I have plenty of it.) Subsequently, you might wonder, what’s a person like me doing in GEO? Well, GEO is my ideal. More specifically, what GEO is about is my ideal. The hikes, the adventures, the food, the cultural stuff, the concept of “get out and see the world,” and of course, the people. 3 years in GEO, and still, I want more. And here I am as the president and a devout member trying to give it my 100%. Now that you’ve read all this junk, don’t want to know my name? Well, it seems that it’s illegal to have my name on here so, I suggest you just come and talk to me. I’m always looking for new victi— I mean, people. =) I hope you all “get linked” with GEO this year, have lots of fun with us, and learn a little something about the world. So, why are you delaying? Go sign up for an event or something!! |
