JANLEE SAENAM
Vice - President 2000-2001
Hi people!  My name is Janlee Saenam and I am your GEO Vice President for this year.  Some people ask me, “Wasn’t their another Saenam in office a few years back?”  My answer is “Don’t remind me!” =P
Okay, just to give you a little bit of information about me, I’m 16 years old and am a senior (2001 ROCKS!!). I have two older sisters and two older brothers that graduated from good old WCHS, so I’m the last of my legacy to be walking down the “oh so large” Thyberg Field =**(.  In my spare time, or when I’m not at school, I like to go on the net (like many other teenagers my age), read, write, hang out with friends (especially in Nusha’s house..tee-hee) watch movies (nothing scary, gory or anything of that sort), and sleep. Other than holding the position of Global Exchange Organization Vice President, I am also Associated Student Body Secretary (I miss my dieppers), Concert Choir Vice President (Don’t ask), an ex-tennis player ( I miss you guys!), and a current (once season starts) badminton player. =P
My favorite movie is To Live, a foreign film that you will be watching this year.  I have a fat, little, Pomeranian named Mozart that I don’t see much anymore but people tell me that he’s adorable…he also has nine lives (my poor puppy).  This past school year I took my finals early and went on a trip, with my two sisters and mother, to England and Ireland just for the hell of it.  It was great, very many blue/green eyed, good looking males including a very handsome pharmacist =P…The country is beautiful, especially Ireland, and I highly suggest people go there and have a great experience!
I live with many people (too many) so I look forward to moving out and starting a life of my own.  After high school I’m going to go to college (I don’t know which one would accept me yet), and major in Bio-med.  Sooner or later I’d like to become a chiropractor (hehe..yeah!!).  “Why a chiropractor?” many, (including my doctor, like to ask me).  ”Well, because I’m interested in the field and I think I would be good at the profession”, I usually respond.  I don’t know if I’ll make it in the medical field (my study habits leave much to be desired), so I think my back up plan would be going to business school and majoring in International Business.
GEO is very much about the Japanese Exchange Program that occurs towards the end of each year.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go last year, but I’m sure Diana and Sara will fill you in on all the activities that they participated in this past summer.  All I know is that people have a great time.  It’s worth the money and the hours on the airplane just to see all the cool stuff over there.  It’s a totally different environment and scene, so I you want to go and experience new things…GO TO JAPAN!  Of course, GEO receives many requests for the Japan trip, so the sure-fire way to get to go to Japan (if you so wish) is be an active member.  And I don’t mean, “I went to all the meetings!” active.  I mean, “I went to all the meetings, most of the hikes, all of the restaurants, and even to the potlucks!” kind of active.  So!  Get involved and get a chance to go to JAPAN!
Anyhow, moving on.  We’ve been working very hard to make this year the best year ever.  We sat through meetings in the summer with Beeken for you people!  The things we go through!!  “Nobody knows the troubles we’ve seen,  nobody knows the sorrow.”  hehee.  We, the officers, have great foreign films, exotic restaurants, exciting walking tours, hikes, and chance to go to Japan in store for all of the GEO members for the 2000-2001 school year.  As you can see, it’s going to be a busy year, both for you and for us.  We hope that you join in on ALL the activities and will make the best of it, because I know that we will!!  So….GOT GEO?  We hope so!
